For newcomers or people wanting to join Xhamster
So I decided to write this post for those who are interested in being part of the porn community but are having doubts about joining.
Commonly asked questions:
1) Do I need to verify my account?
Absolutely, Xhamster and many other sites will not let you comment or discuss if your account is not verified to an email address. Of course, make sure this account is not attached to your work/professional email.
2) Is it safe to be here?
Yes, Xhamster is a trusted website.
3) Do I have to record or show myself?
Not at all. Just because your on a porn site does not mean that you have to post anything or show yourself on camera. Many users are like this (including myself). I would recommend however that you have some material present on your profile, maybe of pics of your favourite actor or hentai etc.
I would also recommend having a profile picture, people feel more at ease when talking with a user with a profile picture (this pic could be anything but keep it in the ToS of Xhamster).
4) Should I show pics of people I know or of random people
I personally wouldn't, it does come off as a bit creepy and can be an invasion of that individuals privacy. The only time I'd understand sharing pics of normal people is if you want them tributed but I wouldn't recommend this.
5) Aren't there many creeps here?
This depends on where your taste takes you. In the tribute community, there are plenty of friendly and kind users, but in a different community, it may not be as nice.
If you do find someone who's bothering you or disturbing you, you can report or block them (or you could set your profile to friends only and control who views your account).
6) should I share other contacts (such as my other accounts on social media)?
That's entirely up to you, but be aware that there can be consequences by doing this.
7) what do I do if I feel like I've said something inappropriate?
When we are pervy, we say things we wouldn't usually say (i.e, we have fantasies we like to admit) but this doesn't necessarily mean you believe that what you said should happen. To resolve this, you can either apologise or clarify to the user that what you said here does not represent what you actually think. This will also help you separate creeps from normal Xhamster users.
8) what if someone says something that makes me uncomfortable?
Just tell them you didn't like what they said and kindly ask them not to say anything like it again.
I hope this helps you decide whether or not Xhamster is the place for you : )
