Cleaning up Favorites and Friends
Cleaning your favorites and friends is something helpful for visitors. When a visitor views your profile it is best if most of the thumbnails lead to a live Xhamster video, photo, or user. Xhamster has easy-to-use tools to remove deleted links such as "Clear Retired" or other means. How often you clean your profile is up to you. I try to clean my profile every week if I am able.
The following are brief instructions for removal of deleted links from Videos, Photos, and Users/Friends :
Favorites: Go to the "Favorites" page of your own profile.
-- Video - Click a video collection (folder), including the default collection. Notice the number next to the collection in the left sidebar. Click "Clear deleted" near bottom of left sidebar. Answer "Clear" to "Are you sure?". After a short pause the message "Deleted videos removed from favorites" appears. Check the number for videos remaining after clearing deleted videos to get an idea of how many links were cleared. Repeat for each video collection. Clearing will eliminate the deleted links icons in your video collections and create a better appearance.
-- Photos - Click "Photos" in the left sidebar. Notice the number next to "Photos" in the left sidebar. Click "Clear deleted galleries". Answer "Clear" to "Are you sure?". After a short pause the removed from list message appears. There may be a bug in this message. Check the before and after numbers to see if it worked. Clearing will eliminate the deleted icons in your photo gallery and create a better appearance. This feature may not be working at times. Therefore, each deleted photo icon must be sent to trash bin individually.
-- Users - Click "Users" in the left sidebar. There is not a convenient tool to delete deleted user links all at once. Go through each page of users and look for the "sad face" (opposite of a smiley face) and delete each one as you find them. The Users in this list are ones that you favorite'd by clicking the 3 dots, then the heart symbol, on each users profile. This list is only visible to you, so, you may not need to maintain this list as often.
Friends: Go to the "Friends" page of your own profile.
-- Friends - Click "Friends" in the left sidebar. Notice the number next to "Friends" in the left sidebar. Click "Clear retired". After a sort pause the "Retired friends removed from list" message appears. If there were any retire friends removed, you will see the number change. Now, visitors can view your friends (if you allow it) and can more easily find users with common interests.
-- Subscriptions - Click "Subscriptions" in the left sidebar. Notice the number next to "Subscriptions" in the left sidebar. Click "Clear retired". After a sort pause the "Retired subscriptions removed from list" message appears.
-- Subscribers - Click "Subscribers" in the left sidebar. Notice the number next to "Subscribers" in the left sidebar. Click "Clear retired". After a sort pause the "Retired subscribers removed from list" message appears.
