Arrived in the House of Correction

Linda arrived in the House of Correction today and has been registered, stripped and inspected.
Now she waits for the next stage – her arrival punishment. This is going to be a whipping and Linda is made to display herself in front of the implements to be used. She has to stand naked with her legs apart and her hands on her head, while she thinks about he pain that the whips will inflict on her body.
Girls admitted to the House of Correction suffer their first session of corporal punishment as soon as they have been inspected and registered. The nature of the punishment depends on their offences and the program of correction that will be imposed on them.
