What a Memorial Day!

It started out with a surprise - I went with some friends to a local nursing home where some Korean war vets live, to honor them for their service. To my surprise, they turned it around and honored ME! It was surreal; these freakin' HEROES, who fought in a war they didn't totally understand as k**s, recognized that others did the same, 20 years later. I'm no hero. I just did what they told us to do, but I was reminded that that was exactly what they did, too. We had a great time reminiscing and toasting each other with cranberry juice, and I left feeling on top of the world.

Then I came here and had a couple of nice chats with some awesome ladies here, and after dinner I got a text from Kelli, the lady I got with last November, when she and her husband were here.
