My mother was wearing a black satin French maid's dress the A line skirt was just looking enough to cover her black lace seamed stockings tops. Her five inch heels her bum push her skirt out. The white lace trim. The bodice was laced up the back and at the bust to allow for the perfect look.
My parents were going to a party tonight, like they had been since as long as I can remember. My sister and I would be babysat until she was thirteen. She would then stay with a friend for the night. This meant I was free to dress as I wanted, as the babysitter would never come up. I had built up a collection of girls' clothes and kept them hidden in my toy box.
Last time I had been left alone for an hour because the babysitter work shift & my parents
I had already chosen my outfit for tonight. I had been waiting to be alone for over a week to dress as I so wished.
It had been decided that my bedroom be redecorated and I would sleep in my sister room now she was at Uni. So I had to watch telly downstairs tonight.
My father arrived home earlier than usual. He quickly came into the lounge, he asked how school was and didn't wait for a reply before dashing upstairs to shower and get ready. He didn't take long and he was downstairs before my mother he came and waited for my mother to finish her look.
She came downstairs also telling me to behave, from the hallway. It was then my father got up & went to start the car. She came into the lounge, wearing her short coat, which hid her dress. But unlike my father she added or you'll have to stay at........ Ok! Something I didn't want as I couldn't wear my girls clothes.
So I replied "I will."
I tried not to look at my mother as she spoke but I could tell she had an A-line skirt and it was short. But all I could think of was wearing my own and have the freedom of the house.
She gave me a kiss and left the lounge. I heard heels across the wooden floor of the hallway, the front door latch click close. I then heard heels dash and a car door close too. I couldn't wait longer, switching off the TV, I went upstairs.
I entered my sister's room sand stopped in my tracks as over the corner of the bed lay a pink satin dress. With a very distinctive A-line skirt, trimmed with lots of white lace around the hem, the capped sleeves and the bust. Which was laced up from the waist band of the skirt. There was a white satin apron trimmed with lace. Covered in a clear polythene.
