Satan is our Shadowself

Satan is the thing that slithers and slimes in our personal un-conscious. We are each capable of being what others have been, for it slinks in our collective un-conscious. Heros and saints live inside of us, and we are they. So too does the n*zi camp guard, the tort*rer and ped*(file). Under differing circumstances, we could have become any of these things because we each come from the same seed. Our personal temperaments and surroundings helped shape the particular ways in which we manifested. We each contain a grain of divinity, and a grain of cruel, evil monster. We each are the righteous family man, and the monster who r*p*s men in prison. The Self is the whole shebang, the conscious, the personal un-conscious and the collective un-conscious. The shadow is that part of our Self which we dare not admit to our conscious ego. The Shadow is that we each dare not acknowledge exists. It need not be evil, just embarassing or undesired perhaps. A man craving cock up the ass and crossdressing is, for most men, a shadowself being that he dare not identify with, much less become behavior to engage in. The Shadow is that which has been cast out of paradise of counscous mind. He is a pariah, and shameful embarasment, a thing for rage and contempt. And yet... the demon resides inside every human being.

Jung called the integration of the Shadow and the conscious ego Individuation. That's the path to becoming a whole, enlightened being. That would be Lucifer. The name Lucifer comes from Lucis Ferre, literally meaning the shining one, the Bringer or Bearer of Light or Enlightenment. Lucifer is the fully integrated Self. Lucifer resides in conscious light, whereas the devil resides in un-consious darkness. But before one can integrate the shadow, that is, Satan, one must acknowledge it's existence. Before integration, there must be an intimate knowledge of one's shadow self in all it's perverted, demented and demonic aspects.

When I say, Hail Satan, I'm saying, that's hot in a way which reasonates with my inner demon. My Shadow demon loves perverse sexual lust in nearly every form. The more perverted, the more depraved, the better. When I ask Satan to magnify my lust so I can in turn feed him some of my sexually depraved lust-energy, it's an acknowledgement of what and who he is. Is Satan a red guy with pointy tail and pitchfork who was trapped in a pit, put there by 'god' in real life? Literally, that's simple minded. But figuratively, the un-conscious IS the abyss in which the archetypal fallen angels reside, chained until someone lets them loose.
