Mass arrests of protesters are currently taking place in Russia. There are many videos on the Internet of them being abused in police cars or police stations. I was an active public figure. I was not involved in politics, although many people thought that I was a politician and that's how I do PR. I was not the head of any organization. But I actively attended all the rallies, protests, and revolutions that took place in Ukraine. We were persecuted for this - we were regularly searched, we were often detained, so we learned all the articles and our rights.
But the police very often violated them. Threats and intimidation were commonplace. At that time, d**gs were often thrown, beaten, there were many cases of death and **** in police stations (by the way, this was the main reason for the last revolution and police reform after the Maidan). But the police were more careful with those who knew their rights, as such people in most cases sued for every violation by the police. And although the courts at that time were dishonest, the police could have problems with their superiors. Therefore, the maximum they could do was lock him up in a cell for a day - that's how long the law allowed to detain him, if no real reason for the arrest was given. And in Ukraine, rallies and protests were allowed, so there were no reasons for detention. The most severe was the detention at the rally, not what happened at the police station.

And they detained me... It was not at all like the previous arrests. Russians are really very cruel. To be honest, I thought I was going to be killed. Perhaps they would have been killed if the revolution had not won. At that time, they killed a lot of people in police stations, injured people in hospitals, k**napped public activists... It was terrible and it hurts me to remember it, but I will try. I will only ask you not to publish this anywhere, because I am not saying this for the press and I do not want to take revenge from those who remained to work in the police (and some criminals remained who criticized the previous president) - I am telling you this as friends, because I trust Victoria, and she says you are very good and help her :)
Russians stripped me completely in the compartment and kept me completely naked for several days. Moreover, I spent most of the time in handcuffs. I was constantly asked how the USA financed the revolution (this was constantly repeated by russian propaganda, so I understood from these questions that they were russians). Since no one financed me and I had never heard of any financing, I had nothing to tell, because of this they continued to interrogate me, beat me...
