'84 - Journal Entry 1: "Mums & Dads&

I remember playing “Mums & Dads” with a toddler “girlfriend” (4 or ***********) from the same block in my estate; rolling around under my bed covers, half naked, trying to get our genitals to connect. Being that young, sexual activity wasn’t possible, none-the-less we had fun with the freedom of being able to play with each other’s bodies under my blanket. Her parents were familiar with my mum, so being in each other’s rooms wasn’t uncommon, we held a bond up until it was time for mum to move from Poplar to Docklands, around the time I was entering secondary school (‘87).

Bearing in mind she was a few years younger than me, by the time she entered the same school I was in, I was preparing for mock exams. So we only saw each other in passing, from afar in the massive canteen, then again, I wasn’t the most sociable pupil due to my anxiety, the social aspect really shone through during these years. Anytime I got bullied / intimidated, it came to the forefront!
