All Thanks to Regency Romance Novels

When I was 18, I was obsessed with the film ‘Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World’. I only saw the movie because my main celebrity crush at the time was Billy Boyd (mostly known for playing the Role of Peregrin ‘Pippin’ Took in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films, which I was equally obsessed with… and still am). I met a female friend on a ‘Master and Commander’ roleplay site. This was not sexual roleplay, but it was romantically charged. By this time, I had fallen in love with the character of Captain Jack Aubrey (not Russell Crowe who played him, just the character) and she had a crush on 2 other characters. We had a great time roleplaying as our own characters. We no longer roleplay due to both of us having very busy lives, but we are still in touch occasionally. Everyone who knew me knew my obsession. 2 years later, when I was 20, one of my closest friends told me that she had seen a Romance Novel called ‘Her Master and Commander’. I laughed it off but was curious. She bought it for me and I was hooked. I pretty much lived at bookstores after that and snatched up every Romance novel I could on one condition. It had to be historical and it had to take place in Regency England. The second book I read was called ‘Captain Jack’s Woman’ which seemed to be completely fitting. It’s the first time that reading a book completely turned me on. I was still a virgin at this time and would not lose my virginity until my wedding night when I was 28, but I had mastered the art of masturbating and it was excellent material to turn me on. I then happened upon a set of books that featured a family called ‘The Bridgerton Family’. This was back in 2005, and the show did not exist. I bought the first three and loved them. The last book in the series hadn’t come out just yet, but I fell in love with the fourth book in the series called ‘Romancing Mister Bridgerton’ and to this day, it is still my favorite Romance Novel of all time. I have seen the series, obviously, but the books are much better. I started to think about this yesterday because the first 4 episodes of the new series were released and I honestly believe that the book series is what got me into masturbating as much as I did and do. I never shared a video of me masturbating until 2013, I believe, and that was short-lived. I did not go by Persephone at that time and I never showed my face. I enjoyed the thrill of it. I stopped shortly before I got married and my fiance never knew nor did he ever find out. I had 2 regency-style dresses at that time, but never thought to make a video wearing one, which could have been kind of hot. I started to think about that again yesterday. Money is tight for me now, but if at some point, I can afford another Regency dress (which thanks to ‘Bridgerton’, I not difficult to find and not too expensive) I shall roleplay as my original Regency character, and film myself “getting off” in Regency Romance Novel fashion.
