Jainism and Islam
ليس الأمر تشابه في الطقوس فقط، هو أعمق مما تظن:
الجانية والاسلام يمتلكان نظام روحي واحد. الاسلام الباكستاني ورث العديد من الجاينية (حيث إن الجاينية كانت ذات انتشار واسع في غرب الهند وأفغانستان الشرقية في العصور السابقة) وممكن ان تلاحظ إن عمارة المساجد في باكستان متأثرة بالطراز الجايني
عندما غزا محمود الغزنوي غرب الهند كان أكثر ما يهمه هو انتزاع المعابد الأكثر ثراء (لأسباب اقتصادية، ولجمع الثروات التي تدعم امبراطوريته الناشئة)، وبما أن طائفة الجين هي أكثر طوائف الدارما ثراء على مر تاريخ الهند، فمن المنطقي القول إن الجاينية هي أبرز طائفة سكانية تصادف معها محمود الغزنوي اثناء حملاته المتكررة على الهند، ومعابدهم الثرية كانت المقصود الأول من تلك الحملات (هذا لم يضعف الجاينية بل اكتسبت شهرة ،الجاينية استمرت منتشعة بعد ذلك لقرون طويلة، ولم تكن حملات محمود لأسباب دينية)
المرأة المسلمة حينما ترتدي لباس الصلاة لا تختلف في شيئ عن المرأة الجاينية حين الصلاة والعبادة في المظهر والاسلوب (النسوة المسلمات لا يدخلن المساجد أو الحرم المكي أثناء المحيض، ونفس الأمر على النسوة الجينيات)
في الإسلام هناك سبعة مستويات من الجحيم (عوالم سفلية للخاطئين) وفي الجاينية، بالمثل، سبعة مستويات من الجحيم (عوالم سفلية للخاطئين). بينما عوالم النعيم في الاسلام هي ثمانية (الأولى هي الاشد تنعيمًا ومن ثم التالية، وهكذا) العجيب ان عوالم النعيم في الجاينية تتجاوز الستة عشر عالما (وهي على حسب كارما الروح فأرواح القديسين والراهبات تذهب بعيدا الى المستويات الاعلى)
أشد النعيم في الإسلام هو رؤية وجه الله (رؤية الخالق) واشد النعيم في الجاينية هو التحرير الكامل (انعتاق الروح) وهم يسمونه: كيفال جنانا بالسنسكريتية. هناك تشابه بين ذلك وربما هو نفس الشيئ لكن تم وصفه بطريقة مختلفه
القرآن الكريم هو الكتاب المقدس في الاسلام والأغام سوترا هو الكتاب المقدس للجاينية. القرآن الكريم يدعم الكثير من الفضائل التي نادى بها فلاسفة الجاينية من أقدم العصور ويشدد على خطورة الظلم. والظلم هو تجاوز الحد (تجاوز الإنسان لحدوده) وتسبيبه الضرر لغيره. في هذا توافق عظيم مع قاعدة أهمسا الا عنفية التي ترتكز عليها فلسفة الجاين. التسبب بالضرر تجاه الآخرين التي تتحدث عنه الجاينية هو نفسه ما يصفه القرآن الكريم بالظلم
على حسب المؤرخ التبتي، والراهب البوذي تاراناثا في كتابه "تاريخ البوذية في الهند" فإن النبي محمد كان في الأصل راهبا جاينيا في حياته السابقة ،عاش في جبال كشمير وكان يدعى اسمه بالسنسكريتية كومارسينا. وقد بلغ منزلة أشاريا (وهي أعظم منزلة يبلغها الراهب في التقاليد البوذية والجاينية)
It's not just a similarity in rituals, it's deeper than you think:
Jainism and Islam have one spiritual system. Pakistani Islam inherited many things from Jainism (as Jainism was widely spread in western India and eastern Afghanistan in previous times), and you can notice that the architecture of mosques in Pakistan is influenced by the Jain style.
When Mahmud of Ghaznawi invaded western India, what was most important to him was to grab the richest temples (for economic reasons, and to amass wealth that would support his emerging empire), and since the Jains are the richest Dharma sect in the history of India, it is logical to say that Jainism is the most prominent population sect. Mahmud of Ghaznawi encountered them during his repeated campaigns against India, and their rich temples were the primary target of those campaigns (this did not weaken Jainism, but rather it gained fame. Jainism continued to flourish after that for many centuries, and Mahmud’s campaigns were not for religious reasons)
When a Muslim woman wears prayer clothing, she does not differ in any way from a Jain woman when praying and worshiping in appearance and style (Muslim women do not enter mosques or the Mosque of Mecca during menstruation, and the same applies to Jain women)
In Islam there are seven levels of hell (lower worlds for sinners) and in Jainism, likewise, seven levels of hell (lower worlds for sinners). While the worlds of bliss in Islam are eight (the first is the most blissful, then the next, and so on), the strange thing is that the worlds of bliss in Jainism exceed sixteen worlds (which is according to the karma of the soul, as the souls of saints and nuns go far to higher levels).
The greatest bliss in Islam is seeing the face of God (seeing the Creator), and the greatest bliss in Jainism is complete liberation (liberation of the soul). They call it: Keval Jnana in Sanskrit. There is a similarity between that and perhaps it is the same thing but described in a different way
The Holy Quran is the holy book of Islam and the Agam Sutra is the holy book of Jainism. The Holy Qur’an supports many of the virtues advocated by Jain philosophers from ancient times and emphasizes the danger of injustice. Injustice is exceeding the limit (a person exceeds his limits) and causing harm to others. This is in great agreement with the principle of non-violence ahimsa on which Jain philosophy is based. Causing harm towards others that Jainism talks about is the same as what the Holy Quran describes as injustice
According to the Tibetan historian and Buddhist monk Taranatha in his book “The History of Buddhism in India,” the Prophet Muhammad was originally a Jain monk in his previous life. He lived in the mountains of Kashmir and his Sanskrit name was called Kumarsena. He attained the status of Acharya (the highest status attained by a monk in the Buddhist and Jain traditions)
