Fleeting Dreams

I awoke from my dream to find you standing over me. All of my hopes and desires had been granted to me at that moment.
I reached up and caressed your cheek. The mere sight, touch and scent of you is all I had imagined and more. I run my fingers lovingly across your cheek, and then lightly touch your ear and neck. I take your face in my hands gently, and just fall into your eyes. I am lost in your gaze when you lean forward and brush your lips across my cheek. I feel a shiver in the deepest part of my heart and it spreads throughout my body. I can feel blood rushing to my face.
You brush your lips against mine and I feel a jolt of energy pass between us. I know at that point that my heart belongs to you. I reach up to draw you into my arms. My alarm clock goes off and you dissipate as my eyes open and I awake, losing you to the daylight.
