Mike's Blog 2: Getting started
As promised, we will focus on the preparations this time. You can see this as an extension of part one, because this is still the "getting to know her" part. If you chose to use method #3 you can skip further down to "the setup".
"the talk"
Don't k** yourself, this is going to be beyond awkward. For some reason people still think of this as a taboo topic. But keep in mind, you have reasonable suspicions about her or you have given her enough hints that you like it. So don't be afraid, and do it. This conversation has two possible paths it can take, depending on your method.
For those gutsy guys who decided to just ask her, be prepared for the whole thing to blow up in your face. Don't worry, that is to be expected. If you're a smooth talker the chances increase, but in the end the odds are against you. Now, that doesn't mean it's over with. I have yet to met a woman who didn't at least want to try a blindfold and handcuffs. You can pick it up from there, just be sure you don't scare her off. try something along the lines of
"honey, how would you like to try out a whole new experience in bed?" Then ease into the topic. Chances are she's going to think you're talking about anal, so take that sacre away soon.
For those who decided on method two, your trap is set, all you need to do is wait for it to snap shut. Steer the conversation to sexual fantasies. Ask if there is anything she wants to try, no matter how crazy. If she is into bondage, sooner our later you'll hear the magic words. Be encouraging and show her that there is nothing to be ashamed about. Now it all depends on her. This might take some time, so don't push her. If it all fails and she won't say it, you still have method one or three to fall back on to. Not both! If you ask her point blank and she says no, then it's no.

For your first time you won't need much. A blindfold, maybe a gag, at least for ropes of four feet length and some tools. I keep that term loose on purpose, because pretty much everything can do the job. A cane would be nice, but a wooden spatula works just the same. Don't have a dildo? Anything with an appropriate shape can suffice as a replacement. That doesn't mean you don't need to shop for this. It's always better to use the real thing instead of a replacement. But in case you're a cheapskate and she agrees, that's how you save a few bucks.
Store them where you can easily reach them, but out of sight for her. Not knowing what comes next is a good way to increase the suspense.
Next, you need something to tie her to. This may seem obvious, but not every bed is suited for this. If you have straight Bedpoles without a knob at the end, all she needs to do to get free is raise her arm, and that defeats the purpose of tying her up in the first place. But that is also the fun part about this. I had Melissa tied to almost every object in our house. Let your imagination run free, but for the first time, I strongly recommend a bed or couch. Challenge or intensity should be given to her in increments. So start with something comfortable.

You can apply the blindfold now, but I wouldn't recommend that. This leaves you with nowhere to go later if you want to increase the pressure. Same goes for the gag, if you have one. Both those items can also serve a punishment for misbehaving. Sensory depravation has always been one of my most favorite go-to places when it comes to punishments.
