To blog or not to blog

I've never understood the whole blogging trend, so that puts me in this ironic position. I love interacting with people, I love talking, discussing, etc and blogging would just give me more opportunities to do so. So I'm interested in doing it, the more important question is, are you interested in reading/partaking in it? So let me know what you think, or vote thumbs up for interested thumbs down for not interested/don't care.
I'm not expecting much of a response (if any) but I thought I would at least try.
