Refocusing-

Life changes, but it never stops.
We make friends, someday we drop.
There are plans that are made, but then are lost.
With every step forward, there is a cost.

The dreams we keep, though we lose our way-
The visions of happiness we have, can slip away.
The stress of just living from day to day
Will mean more work, than there will be play.

But never give in, never give up, ever-
We must focus on a series of positive endeavors,
Instead of being popular by mere wit and by charm.
Using our god-given talents will do us no harm.

Organize, expand, dive into new things-
A colorful new bird of success may take wing.
We only become as great as we let ourselves be,
With open minds, a bright horizon we may yet see.
