Skewed Perspective

So, in my early blog post, I wrote how I met up with R. Well R thinks that she's a BBW, even a SSBBW. While it's refreshing to meet a woman who is comfortable and realistic about her body and not trying to downplay/downsize her size, R is not a BBW and she is nowhere near an SSBBW. I would call her a woman with an average size body. I honestly don't think that she qualifies to barely be a BBW. This was one of the things we talked about and I think it all has to do with perspective.

R lives in San Francisco. She's on the West Coast, surrounded by these lithe and tiny women. After a while, being surrounded by these smaller women, she came to the conclusion that she was huge, a BBW, because she didn't look like everyone else. Her perspective caused her to view herself as something that she was not. Now, if R is in the South, Midwest, Plains and some parts of the East Coast, then she becomes the norm. She'll be just another average sized, some cases small, woman. And that's fine by me.

Don't let other people determine your perspective on how you view yourself. There are people out there, like me, who like you just as you are.
