Back to Bon Temps one last time
When making your summer vacation plans this year make sure to work in a trip down south to lovely Bon Temps Louisiana home to great Cajun cooking, music, historical landmarks, vampires, werewolf biker gangs, shape shifters & werepanthers alike. Over the past 6 years True blood fans or Trubies as the k**s say lol have made this a very popular summer destination. Our notable tour guides pictured below have shared the culture of this great city along with their sexy, dangerous and sometimes just straight up fucked lives !!
Yes unfortunately this great southern city does come with it's perils. While for many years the vampire population has been satisfied quenching their thirst with the tasty beverage True blood ( named after the show of course ) it seems a slight terrorist mishap perpetrated by the local government has left us in short supply of this go to vampire beverage. Turning some into a strange cross breed of vampire/human & others into realizing that they do indeed would like a higher spot on the food chain than us humans.
Not too fear though, there are still some friendly vamps left that look at us as more than a walking food source & as well as those rough and rugged werewolves I told you about who are willing to be our last line of defense against all those carnivorous. Get past the odor and the heavy drinking they aren't so bad after all !!
Now for those of us who don't have a taste for human flesh I suggest a stop in at Merlot's. A down home and downright great place for good food strong drinks & a friendly wait staff led by the belle of our great community Sookie. While her taste for men does leave a little to be desired this feisty blonde always has her heart in the right place and never gets an order wrong as if she knows what you want before you even say anything ... weird ! Run by Sam Merlot who wears many hats & and other great staff members such as Arlene ( RIP her wonderful husband Terry ) and not too mention Lafayette a great cook and medium this establishment has been the scene of so memorable moments over the past years it'll be a shame when they have to close their doors for the last time.
Night life includes an awesome little bar down the road named Fangtasia run by elder vampire and former sheriff Eric Northman and his reliable sexy and bitchy side kick Pam they too have been a great establishment over the years but have fallen on hard times due to recent policy changes !! Eric decided to take time off and work on his tan and Pam has decided she needs to try and find her place in the world. But I have a feeling they'll both be around to give us a great send off before we say goodbye :)
Other notable locals include Jason Stackhouse.. Sookie's bravehearted & sometimes foolish brother
sheriff Andy Belfour the man who has helped keep the community safe for years, Tera a newer vampire & Sookie's BFF, Bill Compton Sookie's ex ( there's a lot of those ) former sheriff & former king of the Louisiana vampire clan & his daughter Jessica. They all have shed blood sweat & tears over the last 6 years to fight for vampire & human rights alike to make this a fun place to be. We'll miss you all when Bon Temps goes out of business at the end of this season. See everybody Sunday !!
