Synopsis

In the 4th installment of the franchise a down & out inventor Cade Yeager ( played by Mark Wahlberg ) and his daughter get involved in a government conspiracy involving the CIA and an intergalactic bounty hunter named lockdown who are looking to detonate a device which would turn part of Earth into a valuable metal that could enable them to create their own army of Tranformers.

The Good

- Great special effects & action sequences
- Easy enough plot line to follow even for those that haven't seen the previous movies

The Bad

- @ nearly 3 hours it is a little long so you probably need to set aside a good to undertake seeing it.

- The dialogue is very cheesy at moments especially with the robots.

My Rating

Anyone who was planning to see an oscar worthy performance should save their time & money. Those who are into big budget summer blockbusters with lots of explosions & big robots busting shit up will probably have a great time. Remember people it's a movie based off a cartoon that was based off a fucking toy !! If you can wrap your head around that go see it ! Not the worst the franchise has produced ( that would be part 2 ) but still a far cry from the original in 2007
