The big surprise to most people is that Limp Bizkit survived their second round match up against fan favorite Rage Against The Machine. And let's be honest LB while one of the better bands of the decades was still one of the best. Garbage to this point hasn't broken a sweat pretty much cutting through the bracket like a hot knife through butter. Both teams have visible lead singers, both bands had breakthrough albums at the end of the decade.. While it's close and back & forth through much of the first half into the second eventually the sex appeal towards men & the support of the female audience is too much for Bizkit to overcome ...

#1 Nirvana vs #4 Offspring
The trend setter Nirvana the ones who ushered in the decade and introduced the world to a new style of music vs the Offspring the under appreciated jokers not taken seriously but with an exstensive catalog of hits as anyone. This was a close one Nirvana after all did come in with the #1 song on the B.A.R.S list and also have one of the biggest names in the history of music fronting their band. The offspring are one of the best live bands I've had the opportunity to see and always seem to have creative videos. But at the end of the day Nirvana made history and that's what helps them squeak this one out.

I have to been honest these 2 were basically at a deadlock for the top seed, Nirvana winning out for the reasons I stated earlier in this blog and the 1st posting the other night. Garbage dominated their 1st opponents and proved to be too much for the Bizkit. It's close Nirvana has 3 very good songs on the list all within the top 20 but Garbage's depth proves to be too much even their reserves ( songs that didn't make the top 50 ) like these
