2014 College Football Preview
It's that time of year again.. battle lines are drawn based on state & school pride and Saturday afternoons and evenings become a drunken battleground!! I'm talking College Football. Steeped in tradition, pride, and you can't forget coeds :) Talking to some of you over the past few months I know where your loyalties lay and I know who some of you hate ! So with a new year upon us I thought I would give everyone a first look one of the greatest things our country has to offer ...
First a quick look back !
Florida State returned to the top of the mountain by upending surprise Auburn in the title game & ending the SEC's streak of 7 straight national titles ( Go Noles ! ) Jameis Winston took home the Heisman in the process. And the debate still rages on about whether to pay college players & what to do about concussions .. Oh and this happened !

Johnny Football was well himself & Oregon found another way to lose their biggest game of the season.
So a brand new year Maryland & Rutgers have joined the BIG X which now has I believe 14 teams .. yeah you do the math on that one I'm still trying to figure it out ! I guess they decided spend their Saturdays getting their heads beat in !! Incase you haven't heard or seen one of the commercials played every 5 mins the SEC has its own network & Notre Dame k**s don't go to class. with all that in mind here's your first look at my weekly Top 25 .. FSU comes in at #1 the defending champs bring the bulk of their pieces back including the countries best QB and no one in the ACC can touch them ! I've got the aforementioned SEC has the most teams in my pole led by Alabama @ #3 & with the news breaking yesterday that starting QB Braxton Miller will be lost for the season Buckeye nation will have to settle for the #16 spot until we see how it shakes out !! here's the rest :
1. Florida State - Defending Champs
2. Oregon - To this point only ranked road opponent is UCLA
3. Alabama - Question mark at Quarterback but other than that should be business as usual
4. Michigan State - They benefit most from the Miller injury
5. Oklahoma - The Sooners have a very favorable schedule. Their Nov. 8 clash with Baylor will decide the BIG XII
6. UCLA - have one of the most dynamic QB's in the country could easily move up if someone slips
