Campus Report Week 3

So let me start off by saying if you any prior engagements such as a wedding, bar mitzvah, funeral, apple picking or whatever this past Saturday it was the weekend to do it. All in all it was a pretty weak slate games with the only real upset of note being #10 USC falling at Boston College giving up 452yds rushing in the process. The Gamecocks may have salvaged their SEC championship aspirations at least with their win over #9 Georgia . There were no really eye popping wins this weekend outside of the 66-0 shutout win Ohio St. used to get back into my top 25 ! This was the last real weekend of out of conference little sisters of tune up games before the stiffer in conference schedule starts. The rest of the Top 25 as follows.

1. Florida St. - 1st and maybe only real test of the ACC schedule when Clemson comes to town Sat.
2. Oregon - Mild scare early but ran away from Wyoming in the second half 48-14
3. Alabama - Blake Sims got a bulk of the snaps this week maybe he eventually takes the job
4. Oklahoma - Handled Tennessee relatively easily
5. Auburn - Averaging 330yds per game on the ground through their first 2 games
6. LSU
7. UCLA - Just got by a young Texas squad in big D but is Brett Hundley healthy ?
8. Baylor- Ok will you play somebody now ?

Ohio St. def Kent St. 66-0 : QB J.T Barrett tied the school record with 6td passes in the win

Lamar def Texas College 73-0 : As I said last week Lamar must be a bad dude, he took on Texas A&M by himself even though he lost & this week beat a school by 70+

North Dakota St. def Incarnate Word 58-0 : 1st and probably last time Incarnate Word will be mentioned in anything I ever write again !

#5 Auburn @ #14 Kansas St. - The tigers offense on the road to Manhattan to test itself agains the wildcats stingy defense. Arkansas by no means a threat in the SEC rolled past K.State's fellow BIG12 member pretty easily lets see if the cats fair better. - 7:30pm Thursday ESPN

Miami @ #24 Nebraska - These aren't the 80's or the 90's where "The U" would trounce the Huskers en route to a Championship. The Canes are a struggling program & Nebraska while the better team is still trying to prove it belongs among the elite in the BIGX - 8:00pm Sat. ESPN2

#4 Oklahoma @ West Virginia - First team to 60 wins !! - 7:30pm Sat. FOX

Florida @ #3 Alabama - I expect the Gators undefeated season to end here rather emphatically - 3:30pm Sat CBS

#20 Clemson @ #1 FSU - The Tigers owe the Noles for last years embarrassing prime time ass whippin.. yeah whatever lay the 20 with FSU ! 8:00pm Sat ABC
