The NFL what we learned week 4

Four weeks in is a large enough sample size to establish an identity in an NFL season. Or as Dennis Green would say " They are who we thought they are " isn't that right Dennis ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw5UWqpcsDs So far the only real surprises are the Patriots look surprisingly mediocre on offense ... or is it really a surprise considering they have swung and missed on all and any free agent & drafted WR they have tried to surround an aging Tom Brady with & their best offense threat TE Rob Gronkowski hasn't been healthy in 2 years oh and they traded their best OL right before the season. After further review ( and at no surprise to me ) Kirk Cousins is a fine backup but not an every starter. The Colts even @ 2-2 are still the best team in the AFC south even though they have a so so defense because they have the best QB in the division. Other established facts after 4 weeks go as follows.

- The Saints are still terrible on the road giving up 190yds on the ground to Dallas on Sunday night. Dropping them to 1-3 & giving up 33.6pts per game on the road this year. Incase your'e wondering that isn't good.

- The Geno Smith experiment in NY has to be over we now have enough data to know he's not a franchise QB. His misses guys high he misses guys low, if there is a way to miss an open receiver he'll find a way to throw it to the opposing team.

- The NFC north while it has no clear dominate team will be at minimum a 3 team race for much of the season & hell if Minnesota gets efforts like it got Teddy Bridgewater on Sunday on a semi consistent basis they may have a slither of hope come December.

My Top 5 power poll
1.Cincinatti Bengals - Had a bye week this past week and all of a sudden a Sunday night trip to Foxborough doesn't look all that daunting.

2.Seattle Seahawks - The Legion of Boom has to be licking their chops watching Kirk Cousins throw it all over the park on Thursday night & possibly may have the luxury of facing a less than %100 Trent Williams on one side of the O-line and a folding chair in Tyler Polumbus on the other.

3.Arizona Cardinals - The Cards got some bad news this week learning Carson Palmer will indeed need to see a specialist about his injured shoulder probably leaving him out for the game against the Broncos.

4.Denver Broncos - Bye week came at a great time for the Broncos after a tough loss in Seattle. An extra week for Manning and Welker to knock off the rust and get ready for a surprising Arizona team.

5.Philadelphia Eagles - Did the 49er's do what no one else has been able to do so far and figure out Chip Kelly's offense ? Or was this performance an outlier for the Eagles high octane attack ??



The Feeble 5 -Hey why not recognize the putrid performances through the 1st 4 weeks. We now these teams are doomed to be some of the worst in football for the 2014 NFL season.

28.St.Louis Rams - They were suppose to be better but maybe as much as losing QB Sam Bradford in the pre-season wasn't a big deal maybe it was !

29.Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Even though they won this past week this team still isn't very good.

30.NY.Jets - Rex Ryan can't survive this.

31.Jacksonville Jaguars - They have a white RB nuff said.

32.Oakland Raiders - Couldn't make it 4 weeks without firing their coach.
