NFL What we learned week 5
So 31 other teams passed on Russell Wilson, 74 players were taken ahead of him including 4 of those being QB's. Andrew Luck who looks to be legit, Brittle Bob well I've discussed his situation more than once, Ryan Tannehill who so far can call his greatest accomplishment is his smoking hot wife http://xhamster.com/photos/view/3229325-53742317.html, Brandon Weeden ( El Stinko ) then Seattle in the 3rd round selected Mr.Wilson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL5qYfoMsd0.
Yep I know I have QB envy.. I love what Bob did for us 2012 but more importantly what we learned is I was right it doesn't pay to draft a guy & overreach for him just because he fills a need. You can find franchise quarterbacks without sacrificing the future & leaving room and resources to surround him with capable talent. Maybe that's what the Redskins will dress up as for Halloween, capable talent !! Elsewhere in the league.
- Payton Manning is nearly 40 & do you know he just set his own career high for passing yards in a game ( 479yds passing ) and with 500 career TD passes he moved into second place behind Brett Farve.
- So The Giants aren't as bad as we were led to believe in the pre-season after 5 weeks RB Rashad Jennings is 4th in the NFL in rushing & TE Larry Donnel has been more than a pleasant surprise at TE.
- And the NFC north is officially up for grabs with only 1 game separating the 1st & last place teams ...
Top 5 Power Poll
1.Seattle Seahawks - The defending champions are getting better on offense each week. Can only imagine how formidable they'll be with both units firing on all cylinders.
2.Denver Broncos - Like I said before Payton Manning continues to amaze even at this point in his career but the Broncos do have concerns at the RB position.
3.Philadelphia Eagles - People seem to forget how important special teams are .. well the Eagles this year have the best ST squad in the league.
4.San Diego Chargers - QB Phillip Rivers is the highest rated passer in the league ( 116.3 ) and outside of Antonio Gates could you name anyone else he throws to ? And the Bolts are getting it done on the other side of the ball too #1 in the NFL in points allowed giving only 12.6 per game.
5.Cincinnatti Bengals - Even after Sundays loss in New England no one should discount the Bengals as a contender... Overall they look to be a more complete team than AFC North rival Baltimore.
"Hey dude we made the top 5 & we have the best unis in the NFL
