Now I know those of you who have followed my posts here throughout the season are saying " Wait a second I thought you were so in the tank for Florida St. that they could do no wrong and as long as they kept winning they had to be the top ranked team in the country ? " That is actually inaccurate !! My position has always been that as long as they kept winning they had to be in the 4 team playoff at the end of the season to defend their National Championship .... I never said they had to enter as #1. We'll see what happens from here with QB Jameis Winston facing the school disciplinary board over a Dec 2012 sexual encounter, an encounter that resulted in a **** investigation where charges were never filed. But back to Miss St. the body of work speaks for it's self so far. They have dominated their past 3 opponents by an average score of 40-27 & the games weren't even as close as those scores would indicate with two of those wins coming against top 10 teams. QB Dak Prescott at this point has to be the frontrunner for the Heisman & Dan Mullen will surely get votes for SEC and national coach of the year. Elsewhere around the country Georgia RB Todd Gurley viewed as the top RB prospect in the country & maybe the best player in college football was suspended indefinitely for i*****lly receiving benefits from signing autographs. A similar offense which last season only netted Johnny Clipboard a half a game suspension. Over in the BIGXII Baylor & TCU both decided to implement the " Let them run past you all day until they tire out " on defense Saturday resulting in 61-58 playground affair resulting in 1,267 combined yards of offense. Notre Dame also rang up 50 in their win over North Carolina ... only problem the Heels got 43 of their own on the Irish. But that brings us full circle to this Saturday night's top matchup between Notre Dame & Florida St. ... under similar settings of a classic game these 2 had 20 years ago

#16 Kansas St. @ #12 Oklahoma 12:00pm ESPN- Both teams are trying to keep their BIGXII title hopes alive with a win. Last years game the Sooners survived 348yds passing from QB Jake Waters for a 41-31 win.

#14 Oklahoma St. @ #11 TCU 4:00pm FOX Sports 1- If the Horned Frogs had ... I said Horned !! frogs perverts not ... well I guess on a porn site I see how one could make that leap . As I was saying had TCU !!!! played any defense in the 4th quarter this past Saturday they would still be a top 5 team but their task doesn't get any easier with OK St. & QB Daxx Garman who has played well filling in for the injured JT. Walsh.

#21 Texas A&M @ #6 Alabama 3:30pm CBS- Gig 'EM has gone from being a national championship contender to needing this win just to stay in the top 25. Over the past 3 weeks including the narrow escape vs. Arkansas the once potent offensive attack has averaged just 26pts per game over the last 3 compared to 55pts per game over the 1st 4. And speaking of narrowly escaping Arkansas ... Alabama had their own scare with the Razorbacks needing a late INT to hold on for victory. After Saturday's scare and a tough loss the week before @ Ole Miss going back to Tuscaloosa may be what the Tide need to get back on track.

#5 Notre Dame @ #2 Florida St. 8:00pm ABC- We assume Jameis Winston will be @ QB for the Noles. Again off the field issues surrounding FSU going into a huge primetime game but the opponent is much better than Clemson this go around. The Irish have done with defense & smart play from their own QB Everett Golson this season. If you were to stack his numbers vs. those of Winston's he would probably look like the Heisman candidate but of course doesn't have the resume. It will come down to the Irish handling a hostile environment & the team speed of FSU.
