The Unlucky 13 : Hollywood's top serial kille

Society's fascination with the above characters & serial killers in general has gone on for decades. Call it creepy or sadistic they have become a fabric of pop culture & because the way their characters are portrayed in movies we find ourselves almost rooting for them. But which one do we root for the most and why ? Below I have ranked Hollywood's 13 best serial killers of all time in my opinion at least !! Take a look at my list and my rational for each & let me know what you think !!

13. Norman Bates



Height : 6"2

Weapon : Butchers knife

Strengths : Intelligence, gives off non threatening shy & meek demeanor

Weakness : Lack of physical strength or any super powers, mental instability

While Bates may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer ( pun intended ) what lacks in strength mental stability he makes up for in creepiness & persistence and lets face it he can get you a great deal on a hotel room.

12. Leprechaun

Weapon : Magic, mind tricks, sharp teeth & nails , weapons of opportunity

Strengths : Magical powers, can sniff gold from a mile away, a cunning personality

Weakness : Greed !!

This miniature monster wreaks havoc every time his pot of gold goes a missing !! He comes across initially as fun loving pint size wise cracker but don't get it twisted 1st chance he gets he's looking to slit your throat from ear to ear & take back what's his !!

11. Chucky



Height : 2ft

Weapons : Usually weapons of opportunity sometimes a knife

Strengths : Can pass as a harmless doll & due to voodoo knowledge can pass it's spirit off to another host.

Weakness : He's like 2ft fucking tall seriously people kill the damn thing !!

Chucky or the " Good Guy " doll is the product of a serial killers spirit ( Charles Lee Ray ) possessing the doll after a shootout with police. From there on his mission has been clear to get vengeance on those who wronged him before his demise and find a suitable human host for his now returned spirit.

Weapons : A copious amount of sophisticated booby traps & torture devices

Strengths : Attention to detail, superior planning & intellect, forensic knowledge

Weakness : Failing health

The one killer on this list who was able to do his dirty work without getting his own hands dirty most of the time. Over the years he recruited several easily manipulated souls to do his bidding and to capture who he thought were morally flawed individuals and put them to the test through his crazy obstacle course of death.

Weapons : Homemade killing devices, different hunting weapons bows & arrows as such

Strengths : Mechanically inclined we'll say, knowledge of the forest and landscape, high tolerance of pain.

Weakness : Ok I'll say it you're not dealing with a bunch of rocket scientists here !! An ounce of common sense by their victims and their kill count would be much lower LOL.

Theses backwoods West Virginia natives have prospered due to constant inbreeding & years of cannibalism... Hey a man's gotta eat which pretty much explains their motive carrying out the murderous rampage they do !

8. Pinhead & The Cenobites [/b ]

Weapons : All the tools of hell at their disposal

Strengths : The ability to prey on your fears & capture you for eternity, hooked chains and other torture devices

Weakness : Can be killed when reverted to their human form, can be sealed away in hell unless the gate is opened ( the gate is always opened )

They look like a S&M session gone horribly horribly wrong but they can as bloody and diabolical as the next killer !! Only appearing after being summoned Pinhead and his crew make whoever calls upon their name regret it with severe consequences !!

Weapons : A chainsaw seems to do the trick most of the time

Strengths : Large in stature, stronger than the average man

Weakness : Easily manipulated by those around him, almost loyal to his family to a fault.

Based loosely on the exploits of real life serial killer Ed Gaines who prospered during 1950's Wisconsin. Leatherface made his hay by slicing & dicing wayward travelers who made their way to his family's secluded Texas farm. M/O skinning & dismembering his victims using their skin as masks and other costumes while letting his family have the leftovers for supper !

Strengths : His size, durability, persistence

Weakness : He's not exactly playing with a full deck & man c***d like demeanor mentally

The man is just bat shit crazy !! No real rhyme or reason for deciding one night he was going to slaughter everyone in his entire family but yet here we are. Now I'm sure his upbringing wasn't perfect and if you believe the Rob Zombie version it was borderline shitty but this dude was fucked up the day he came home from the hospital ! Oh and maybe the best theme music on the list !

Weapons : An insatiable appetite, a united cause

Strengths : Numbers, not affected by climate or elements, never get tired ... depending on the movie more organized than you think.

Weakness : Most of the time slow .. can be killed with bullet or blow to the head

Depending what your watching they are the product of a viral epidemic or some sort of government testing gone wrong. Either way they are becoming the most popular way to knock off humans in horror films and there greatest asset is numbers actually never ending numbers because they can always make more just by biting another human !

4. Hannibal Lecter

Strengths : Supreme Intellect, expertise of the human anatomy

Weapons : we'll say a scalpel

Weakness : Clarise .. He always has a soft spot for her

Whether friend or foe Lecter found a way to creep out millions & goes down as maybe the most ******** dinner guest in American history. He's helped the F.B.I out on several cases most famously helping agent Starling hunt down the killer named Buffalo Bill. But that still doesn't make up for the dozens of people he enjoyed as an appetizer along the way !! Also one of the most memorable lines in cinematic history.

3. Freddy Krueger

Weapons : Razor Glove , Mind Games , Ability to enter dreams

Strengths : Charismatic, ability to alter dreams , un killable in alter universes

Weakness : Becomes mortal in the real world, fire

Since being cornered in the boiler that day and burned alive by their parents Krueger vowed revenge on them and the c***dren of Springwood. And boy did he ever deliver causing sleepless nights for decades slaying victim after victim in their sleep. Poor wardrobe aside Krueger is high on this list because his name has become a staple in horror & the way Robert Englund delivered the character for years has given Krueger an unforgettable personality that will live on for years.

Most view these movies as Sci - Fi movies but when you run a search on your local cable provider for horror movies this flick comes up in the search engine and has been given horror movie status. If you look up bad ass in the dictionary you'll see a picture of this dude ( if he's not cloaking himself that is ). The difference between him and the other names on this list is he doesn't hunt over sexed party teens or college teens he goes after highly trained skilled bad asses like himself and normally comes out on top. With an array hi tech killing tools at his disposal and with no weapon formed on this planet able to take him down your only hope is to block yourself from his inferred vision & hope for a little luck.

1. Jason Vorhees

Weapons : Typically a large machete but has been known to step outside the box from time to time.

Strengths : Size, Strength, extremely sneaky & quiet for such a large man, knowledge of the woods & his territory. Ability to regenerate tissue makes him borderline unkillable

Weakness : A supreme fear of water due to his backstory.

So let me get this right ... His mother takes revenge on the people who let him drown to death and when they kill her for going after them for justifiable reasons when he comes back to seek revenge he's the bad guy ?? He's the most iconic of all masked killers in our culture and the reason you never I mean never have sex in a horror movie .. He has the highest body count on the list and to this day no one has come up with 1 clear way to stop the hockey mask machine that is Jason Vorhees the face of " Camp blood " and killings that take place in a log cabin everywhere !
