Two daily non stories IMO

So for the past 2 weeks there have been a couple of stories that the media just can't let go of that in my humble opinion were really never stories to begin with. The obvious one from the world of pro ******* that the 4 letter in Bristol and other media outlets cant seem to get enough of is " Deflategate " . Let's just get this out in the open 1st ... The Patriots are known cheaters , we've known this since spygate that they will take every advantage they can to beat an opponent. With that being said they beat the Colts 45-7 !!!! If I'm to understand this correctly every team gets to provide their own footballs for each game & the QB's get to go through and pick out the ones they want to play with that particular day. Now if the Patriots purposely underinflated footballs for an unfair advantage in poor weather conditions and somehow this 1.5-2lb under inflation wen unnoticed by every official & Colts player than that's on the league !! And by the way under inflated footballs don't make up a 38 point deficit. And if it did why the hell didn't the Colts do it ? The Patriots could have played with soccer balls that day & still beat the Colts why ? because they're a better team than them @ nearly every position.. So why after nearly 2 weeks is there still this obsession over something that had no impact on the outcome of the game ?
And speaking of saggy balls that brings me to something else I'm tired of hearing about .. Bill Cosby. Now I'm not going to say what I'm about to say because I'm trying to defend him & nor am I going to try say none of the allegations against him are not true because I don't know none of us do @ this point. As far as I'm concerned all they all lying ? No ! But I doubt all 20-30 or whatever how many there at this point are telling the truth either. I don't what the % is whether is 50/50, 80/20/ 95/5 we all know there is a bandwagon effect in this country with stories like this and people will jump on fro strange motivational purposes for 15 mins of fame . But here's the deal since these incidents allegedly !!! took place 20,30, & in some cases 40 years ago the statue of limitations is up on them legally .. like it or not its the system we live in. He can't be prosecuted in a court of law. Financially because of a successful 50+ year career he's accumulated more money than he'll ever spend in the short time he has left on this planet & probably more money than his c***dren & grandc***dren will ever spend. So you want to cancel his shows, stop his speaking engagements, strip away his brand I'm sure he could care less. At 77 I'm sure he would be content to just sit @ home and count his money and never work again if that's the way it plays out. I'm not writing this as some Cosby fan boy or apologist. In fact if any of these are proven to be true he's a horrible human being ... but a horrible human being that will never see the inside of a cell or suffer monetarily. So why is the world continuing to cover this " story " as far as I'm concerned it's done ... who cares @ this point if what's done is done & he'll see no punishment. Why does the media feel the need to hammer away @ it ? IDK maybe it's just me , maybe I'm the only one tired of these stories clogging up the news cycle .
