Beautiful

She tried not to let him see her trembling inside as she slipped off the robe. She wanted this moment to be perfect and had tried in every way she knew how, to prepare herself so it would be. But there were still those little doubts that were tying her stomach in ****s as she began to move towards him. Then everything changed. She saw his eyes as they began to glisten with a joyful moistness that turned them into a window to his soul. She saw his hands quiver as he reached out to her, almost in fear, as if she were a dream, or some gossamer vision that would vanish if he actually dared to try and touch her. She heard the gentle tremor in his voice when he was finally able to speak. And she knew. She knew with surety and joy filling her heart, that in the eyes and heart of this man who loved her, she was and would forever be beautiful.
