I Hate #18 - Supermarket Idiots
I just returned from picking up groceries... holy shit, but people can be annoying in supermarkets. Cases in point:
- People leaving their shopping carts dead centre in the aisle so you can't get past. I should carry one of those little canister airhorns for these people and make them shit their pants. How hard is it to stay to one side or the other?
- Assheads on cell phones, having long conversations and roaming absent-mindedly without shopping. Today I wanted bananas, but some broad was blocking the bananas with her ass and her cart, while loudly talking about the fiber in her diet and feeling up pretty much every banana there. I literally had to tap her on the shoulder to get her to move her ass... she gave me the stink eye and set up shop down by the bakery.
- Lazy pricks who leave their shopping cart in the middle of the parking lot, and can't be bothered to park it where it belongs.
- Checkout cashiers who ignore you while they have a conversation with the person bagging your groceries. Usually just young chicks do this...
- Cashiers who don't ask you if you want to spend your points or not (as they are supposed to do), then groan and roll their eyes when you ask about your points... because they basically have to re-enter the amount and push a few buttons.
- People who let their little booger machine brats run rampant in the place. Grabbing stuff with their repugnant sticky fingers, hanging off displays, running across your path, etc.
- Baggers who can't figure out that packing bread on the bottom, putting eggs underneath heavier objects or putting floor cleaner with the edibles aren't good ideas.
- When you bring your own recyclable bags with you, not using the stores' 5 cent plastic bags... and the cashier doesn't move a muscle to pack your bags for you. It's like it's suddenly not their job anymore to pack the bags for you. I find this happening more and more often lately. When it does, I don't pack a thing... I let it pile up until eventually the cashier has to suck it up and do her job, while the every-growing line-up behind me grows more restless.
