What has happened to two way communication on the
It wasn't always like this....maybe over the years the internet has gotten worse, our communication skills went to hell or people have become so jaded by some sites they no longer are real people online.
I started talking online for the first time in the 90's on my friends computer. At this point I couldn't even tell you how it worked, it was that long ago.I even remember the first person, we were actually pen pals for a short time. Then the years past and I got a computer of my own, aol was the rage at the time. It was then that I discovered the internet chat. See back then people actually seemed to talk online. There seemed to be a real exchange of ideas or introductions, getting to know someone. It was great for someone like me that is a natural introvert. I could say or communicate safely from home, exchange real ideas and have real conversations. But something changed...
Eventually AOL got stranger and stranger and I ended up on yahoo messenger, which I still use. The rooms on yahoo were great. They had a chat room for every mood or type of person you were looking to talk to. Yet, just like everything else people corrupted them. The years went by, yahoo got rid of their rooms and I'f floated from one site to another.
Now, chatting on the net is more like a job interview...No one really responds, there is no real conversation, no pleasantries People actually act like your crazy for starting a conversation. Its days like now that I long for the early parts of the net.
