The Introduction of a good Korean girl from Seoul

I had a conservative Korean upbringing. The word of your parents was final. I was a very good daughter and did what was expected of me. It was all I knew and I felt that life in Seoul was great at the time. I had a lot of friends and it was fun. We all looked similar and had similar thoughts and we all strived to do as best as we could in school so that we could one day work at Samsung. My parents would have loved it if I worked at Samsung and had married a tall, handsome Korean man from Samsung as well. Well, that never happened. I knew I needed to expand my world and asked my parents if i could travel to visit family in NYC for the summer after I graduated college. They let me and my life changed. There was a lot more to experience and there was so much more life. I had a new circle of Korean friends and we still looked similar and had similar thoughts and behaved the way our parents wanted to behave. Well, I started to change from that point on. I returned to Korea after that summer was over. I was back in NYC within two months. That was four years ago. I've been here ever since....
