‘Porn Only’ or ‘Porn with a Plot’?
It's a ‘given’ that most of the world that watches porn watches it for the fucking. I'm 27-years old and until last night I’ve never *seen* a ‘porn movie.’ Like a lot of us, I just watched clips and scenes, bits and pieces, mostly just the ‘hot’ parts only.
Then, this past Black Friday, I was ordering some obscure horror movies from Vinegar Syndrome, a company known for cult film preservation and distribution. As I was scrolling through their ‘sale’ titles, one called "Sex World" caught my eye.
The cover looked really cool. I read about it a little. The blurb compares it to a porn version of the old movie (and new HBO series), “Westworld.” Without spoiling too much, the plot’s basically about a bus-full of people all travelling to a sex resort known as ‘Sex World.’ It's a resort where your ‘deepest sexual fantasies come to life.’
So, after debating back-and-forth, I bought it. I’ve always been intrigued by older cultural stuff, such as movies and music. So here I am watching a porn movie from 1978 and the music totally has that ‘70s sound’ to it, and – OMG -- there’s a *plot* to this movie. There’s an actual *story* going on with hardcore sex.
It has one very nice lesbian scene in it that someone here on xHamster has uploaded. The girls are ‘all natural’ with no fake boobs. I didn't see any tattoos, either (nothing against tattoos; I have one myself). And all the girls have pubic hair.
The movie features an actress, Kay Parker, whose name I actually heard mentioned somewhere before. I guess she must have been pretty big in porn back then. But the actress and character that really grabbed my attention was Sharon Thorpe, who plays Lisa Hill. Not only is she gorgeous, she has a scene with a well-hung black stud who ‘has his filthy way with her’ in a slow-motion scene with music that’s SO ‘70s’-sounding, and is perfect for the scene.
The movie has so many sci-fi elements that, to me, it's not ‘just’ a porn film. It really surprised me.
And now it has me wondering about some things.
Is ‘porn with plot’ a myth? Is it all just ‘fucking’ with cheesy dialogue? Can porn actually be about something more?
What are your porn viewing habits? Do you ever sit down and watch a full movie with a storyline for more than just getting off? If so, I’d love you to leave a comment below with the name of the movie and what about it, beyond porn, that you like.
This all definitely has my curiosity going and is something I want to explore more deeply.
