Good Porn
What happened to the good porn videos/movies? Back in the day porn had some plot, scene set up, and some believable sex scenes. There seemed to be a shift through the 90's to more hardcore and formula based scene porn with barely legals, blondes, and stick bodies (thanks Jenna). Which today is the mainstream and each genre has its own formula. Even amateur porn seems to emulate "professionally" produced formula porn.
What happened to filming straight, bi, gay, lesbian, couples, threesomes, or whatever-somes of women (real women that is) and men just having sex without the unnatural positions that focus on the camera angle or poor attempt at a scene situation. Where are the movies with plot and scene set up where the actors are in character and are into the sex scene for the sex? We are not asking for Oscar performances, but something more real than fake moans, gagging, tongue wagging because the person is afraid to lick it or put it in their mouth, silly positions, or unnatural dialogue (especially with the camera guy)? Real sex is NOT supposed to be dictated by a formula or making a woman or guy perform in a unnatural manner or try to perform some kind of extreme sexual act.
Please note that we are not talking about cheesy softcore movies like what is shown on "skin-amax", for example, where it seems the guy is fucking a girl's belly button or a woman is licking another woman's leg (oops, her "pussy"). No, we just wonder where the producers and film makers are of good porn similar to what Candida Royalle has produced, just across all genres of porn (natural bodies and unformulated, real sex). Viv has some good movie ideas, decent plot writing (for porn), and their actresses seem to be into each other, but they use girls (some barely legals), that have no curves, and would blow away in a light breeze. Viv's concern for camera angle also takes away from their films.
I guess we wonder these things because we are frustrated with today's porn and have written some stories that we would like to see played out on screen and want know who would maybe produce them with our vision and casting eye. ;-)
