Luminous Synchronized Love
I believe that there is no human being who does not love these little luminous creatures. If you are lucky enough to meet a swarm of them on a moonless night, these little insects will give you the illusion of being in the middle of a galaxy surrounded by stars and you become a euphoric planet that rotate. Nature is so wonderful and bizarre
The life span of adult fireflies is short, so they feed only sanctimoniously, some do not eat while others lick some tasty pollen, most of the time they are busy looking for a partner to mate. During warm and humid evenings you can witness incredible and extravagant bridal flights.
Male examplars have well-developed wings and are able to fly all night long in search of their "bride". they try to get noticed overfly the vegetation, of course are the women who have the last word. The females remain on the ground and have a vermiform aspect and, when the reproductive moment arrives they climb up the blades of grass and the summit of small shrubs. they launch their luscious calls. when two exemplars find love their luminous signals become synchronized and thanks to the frequency and the intermittance they are able to recognize each other, perhaps because today is Valentine's Day, but I find this so romantic. They spend their adult time searching for the soul twin, with their luminous emmissions, they dance, they communicate, they flirt, and then they fall in love.... when you see them in the woods, henceforth think also to the their romantic luminous love stories
