The Tawse

Did anyone else receive the tawse / belt / strap when at school? I attended school in the good old days when corporal punishment was in full swing - and the belt and the cane was swung at me many a time. I attended school down south for a while and received the cane on my bare bum a few times - but up here in Scotland it was the tawse a two or three tongued leather strap or belt that was applied to your out stretched and crossed palms of your hands. I had received the belt at ************** several times all by female teachers, but once I went to secondary school the beltings became more severe and regular. On my first day at secondary school I received two strokes of the belt of a male teacher and by fuck was it sore compared to having received six of the best of the headteacher at primary which now seemed nothing compared to the two strokes received from a male teacher. I raised my hands, both outstretched in front of me, crossed with my left palm facing upwards, and watched as she swung the strap over her shoulder and brought it down with an almighty smack on my hands. The noise rung out through the corridor and then I felt the pain - oh Fuck I muttered to myself as the severe stinging sensation went across my hands.
