Friendship Requests
I issue and accept friend requests based on the amount and style of curated content on your site. Friendships essentially identify commonality, so if our interests don't primarily align then we shall remain in our separate worlds. A friendship status has actual value, which is more than can be said for most other social media environments. :-) The reason is simple. Applying a modest amount of critical thought to friendship selections saves everyone time, which can be much better spent doing what we came here to do...look at porn that we actually like! How does this work you ask?
I use friendship lists, as mentioned, to locate content based upon assumed minimal commonality to the owner profile. I maintain a list that others can use in the same way. If no filter is used in creating the list then no general correlation can be inferred (i.e., this profile will result in locating this type of content) and the list becomes useless without an enhanced research effort that adds even more time to the process. Selectively creating friendships adds value to the list. Therefore, I do not accept friend requests where the profile has little to no content and where the content is not primarily male-oriented, nor will I request a friendship if my content does not align with the users interests reflected in their profile and collection. I will make an exception if the non-male content has been organized into folders and is not the first thing you see on the page. It's in everyone's best interest. I want my list, and the lists that I use, to reliably direct people to content that aligns with my profile at it was when the friendship was accepted.
I know this is long-winded, but I respect your position as an adult learner. As such, it's important that you have the opportunity to bring your own experience and perspective to the issue and be able to identify how your efforts can solve potential problems for the larger community...so here's the reason behind the approach.
I am 100% gay - no grey area. This is a factor which obviously affects what pings my sex-o-meter. As a result, I generally consume less content than what is typically available on the average site...and that's just the first filter level. We all do this, of course, but in this case it's a bit different. Think of this as being similar to when a person has a blood type of O neg. Anyone can consume O neg blood, regardless of their blood type, but people that are type O neg can only receive type O neg blood lest they become ill or perish. No other type will work for them. Crazy I know, but here we are. It's a cruel world, and no one wants to be the cause of any unnecessary angst, right?
Like everyone else, my subjective opinion of the users collection will prevail, but I always err on the side of the requester. On that note, requests will be rejected if there is no original content submitted by the user, such as gallery images, videos or posts. I'm not going to be very picky in identifying the format other than identifying a picture gallery as a minimum. I believe that creating and uploading images requires the least amount of effort as compared to other types of submissions.
