Starting the journey

I realise that a lot of you will run for the hills once younhave read this, but I would put money on many more being curious and even secretly wanting to do something similar. We all have male and female within us, it is just a matter of which is dominant; this is the first of a series of posts documenting my attempt to shift the balance a bit.

Four weeks ago, I finally decided to try some hormone therapy. I am of an age when the risks matter less than they might have done when I was younger, so I am medicating myself. My advice to anyone else thinking of doing this is don't! It is potentially dangerous and, if it works, will permanently change some aspects of your life and body.

I found a pharmacy literally on the other side of the world, put in an order and waited....... 3 weeks of anticipation, then yesterday a small package arrived containing 3 month's supply of oestrogen valerate. Given that taking oestrogen had been in the back of my mind for years, I took the first last night without hesitation (and with a raging hardon!). I have a pretty low level of testosterone, so have not bothered with any testosterone blockers.

I will not bore anyone who finds their way here with a day to day account, but will post whenever I notice any emotional or physical changes that might interest you.
