Curry

spice is dreadful
it tastes like shit
like eating from a toilet
at the bottom of a pit

when administered
taste buds feel like hell
thousand tons of water
still will not repel
the awful annoying taste
and filthy reptilian paste

why some people like it
I have not the vaguest clue
they dig it in like pigs
til their faces turn blue

these days even korma
has the distinctive trace
the revolting rotten trauma
makes you hate the place

the places that have menus
with lists of spicy food
frequented by the sorts
whose taste must be crude

your mind tastebuds
armoured against attack
seems like a challenge
pile on the curry stack

hot, hot and hotter
who can pallet the most
resist the urge to splutter
have the final boast

seasoning is like foreplay
an extra piece of zing
curry is seasoning
no need to put it in

that is about it
nothing left to say
curry is a tasteless substance
and it doesn't really pay

horrid hot mouth
from one simple bite
no taste explosion
nothing really bright

chow mein or sweet and sour pork
compels you to hold on to your fork
when force fed with spice
it's always the usual "this ain't nice"

I still cannot understand
spice has been around for long time
since the matrix went viral
spice has become the bane of mankind
