Alright... are the new people gone yet?
My name is Dan. Out in the real world I am a little obsessed with being considerate and respecting everybody, women especially. I never finished college. I got three quarters of my way through a physics degree and dropped out to take a job in Atlanta. That didn't work out either, so I'm back here in Jax, but I still miss academics and would like to go back.

On the other hand, I'm also the cool kind of nerd, having played in rock bands of different varieties most of my adult life. I didn't play in cover bands (they're not a bad thing... it just wasn't for me), I played original music that my bandmates and I wrote... accepting all the poverty, dirty hole-in-the-wall bars, money-losing tours, and the automatic street cred that that entails. I spent a lot of time broke and struggling for my "artistic vision" in those days, and I spent a lot of time being considerably more pretentious about things than I am now. I'm not proud of all of it, but I wouldn't trade those experiences for the world.
