I’ve discovered Squirt dot org and its lists of local cruising spots. Most of them are wooded, recreational trails owned by the local parks commission. They usually have parking for a couple of dozen vehicles, and pathways that wind through the woods. They're used a lot by hikers and, in winter, cross-country skiers. They're also popular for men who like to go for a walk by themselves, if you know what I mean.
