What are your thoughts regarding the following as potential conversational 'icebreakers': "Those who think they know it all are annoying to those of us that do". How about "Of all the things I've lost, it's my mind I miss the most". OK, here it is... "Wow! I just returned from a pleasure cruise. Took my mother-in-law to the airport!" Nah, this is the one: With an all-too-familiar tone of male bravado & virulence, the husband proclaims: "Watch out... I'm going to make you the happiest woman ever!". The wife's response: "Thanks dear. I'm going to miss you..." (admit it, you're smiling, aren't you?). If, via unfortunate circumstance(s), you discover that your best (and perhaps ONLY) approach is NO approach (you know, the low-rent, POS type who, akin to the proverbial virus which NEVER leaves), may I suggest the following: "You should really look for that snowball's chance in Hell... and keep looking". Another: "I must offer a personal thank you for providing enlightenment... I hope I never experience another 'stupid-fuck' encounter". At least that's an insult that requires additional time for 'processing'. When it finally does 'register', that SHOULD provide adequate time necessary to get the 'hell-outta-Dodge. If the lame excuse makes the mistake of making you his object of disenfranchisement, give the motherfucker BOTH barrels...uh, I mean CANS!
